Pelican Bay and Pelican Island

Pelican Bay had approximately 6-8 feet of dry land exposed until November 2006 when the rain started filling the lake back up.  By April 2007, that dry land (now covered in water) was already sprouting hydrilla.  In May 2007, the boat lane out to the lake is now completely choked with hydrilla making it virtually impassable with jet skis and boats must go through it at high speed!
